P+R (Park & Ride) is the smartest way for visitors to Amsterdam to park. These car parks are located on the outskirts of the city and have an excellent public transport connection. Public transport brings you right into the centre of Amsterdam in no time. Park your car at the outskirts of the city and take public transportation to the city!

Amsterdam has P+R card: the Amsterdam P+R card. This card allows you to make two trips (maximum 1 hour per trip) on GVB trams, buses, or metro from the official Amsterdam P+R terrains listed below. For € 12.00, park and then travel with public transportation!

The official P+R areas:

P+R Transferium ArenA

P+R Olympisch Stadion

P+R Sloterdijk

P+R Zeeburg

P+R Zeeburg II

P+R Bos en Lommer

P+R World Fashion Center

P+R Gaasperplas

You can receive up to a maximum of five GVB P+R cards (one per passenger). To use this option, report in to the attendant at the P+R kiosk. You can receive a maximum of five OV travel cards from the attendant for free. These are disposable chipcards that allow you to travel to and from your destination. After checking in on the public transportation vehicle the card is valid for one hour. The second hour starts running when you check in again after the first hour has expired. NOTE! The cards are not valid for GVB night buses! The GVB day or multiple day card entitles you to unlimited travel around Amsterdam – day and night – on bus, tram and metro, for the number of hours that best suits your plans. For instance, the day card is valid for 24 hours from first check in.
